Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and treatments provided by Claire Portman PMU (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Consultations

  • Consultations are an opportunity to discuss your desired outcome, suitability and treatment options.

  • Advice is provided based on professional experience, but results may vary depending on individual factors such as skin type and aftercare.

  • There is no obligation to proceed following a consultation.

Bookings & Deposits

  • A deposit is required to secure all appointments.

  • Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

  • Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred with sufficient notice (see cancellations below).

  • The remaining balance is payable at your appointment.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that plans can change. Please provide as much notice as possible.

  • 48 hours’ notice or more: Deposit can be transferred to a new appointment date.

  • Less than 48 hours’ notice: Deposit may be lost.

  • Failure to attend (no-show): Deposit is forfeited and a new deposit will be required to rebook.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments where necessary. In such cases, your deposit will be transferred or refunded.

Late Arrivals

  • If you arrive late, your appointment time may be shortened.

  • If you are significantly late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled and your deposit may be forfeited.

Treatment Suitability

Permanent makeup is not suitable for everyone.

You must inform us of any relevant medical conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Skin conditions

  • Allergies

  • Medications

  • Previous cosmetic procedures

We reserve the right to refuse treatment if it is not considered safe or appropriate.

Patch Testing

Where required, a patch test must be completed prior to treatment.

Failure to attend a required patch test may result in your appointment being postponed.

Treatment Results

  • Permanent makeup is a multi-step process and results vary from person to person.

  • A top-up appointment is typically required to complete the treatment.

  • Healing outcomes depend on factors such as skin type, lifestyle and aftercare.

  • No guarantees can be made regarding exact colour, shape or longevity.

Aftercare

  • You will be provided with aftercare instructions following your treatment.

  • It is your responsibility to follow these instructions carefully.

  • Failure to follow aftercare guidance may affect your results and may require additional appointments at extra cost.

Top-Ups & Maintenance

  • A top-up appointment is usually required within a specified timeframe (typically 4–12 weeks).

  • Appointments outside this timeframe may be charged at a higher rate.

  • Maintenance appointments are recommended every 12–18 months, depending on individual fading.

Refund Policy

  • Due to the nature of the treatment, refunds are not offered once a procedure has been carried out.

  • If you have any concerns, we encourage you to contact us so we can discuss appropriate solutions.

Photography

  • Before and after photos may be taken for record-keeping and training purposes.

  • With your consent, images may be used for marketing (e.g. website or social media).

  • You may opt out of marketing use at any time.

Liability

  • All treatments are carried out with care and professionalism.

  • By proceeding with treatment, you acknowledge the risks associated with cosmetic procedures.

  • We are not liable for:

    • Reactions caused by undisclosed medical conditions

    • Unsatisfactory results due to individual healing or aftercare

    • Loss or damage to personal belongings

Communications & Consent

By submitting your details or making an enquiry, you agree that we may contact you via:

  • SMS

  • Email

  • Phone

This may include:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders

  • Follow-ups regarding your enquiry

  • Relevant information about treatments

You can opt out at any time.

Use of Third-Party Systems

We may use third-party systems to manage bookings and communications, including:

  • Online booking platforms

  • CRM systems

  • Email and SMS services

Your data will be handled securely and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
